Dermal fillers

Healthy looking, youthful skin is a universal goal, but as we age this becomes harder to maintain. Sun exposure, dietary factors, smoking, pollution and everyday stress all age your skin. While we can't literally turn back the clock, we have at our disposal some effective non-surgical treatments for enhancing facial appearance.

Dermal fillers smooth out deep lines and wrinkles by adding natural looking volume beneath the skin hydrating and supporting skin elasticity and structure. They can give lips a natural pout by adding volume and definition. Fillers are injected just below the skin's surface to 'fill in' or 'plump up' facial wrinkles, and smooth out acne scars.

Fillers can be used all over the face:

  • Upper face frown lines, forehead lines, worry lines, eyebrow droop
  • Mid face crow's feet, tired eyes, tear troughs, nose reshaping, cheek augmentation
  • Lower face nose to mouth lines (nasolabial crease lines), marionette lines (creases running down from the corners of the mouth), mouth frown, smoker's lines, vertical lip lines, lip border, lip enhancement, mental crease (chin augmentation)

Wrinkle Treatment

Treatment with dermal fillers is non-surgical and minimally invasive, producing instant results. A session with our highly trained practitioners takes just 30-60 minutes, depending on the number of areas to be treated. You can return to work immediately following treatment, but we recommend taking it easy and applying an ice-pack for a few hours to minimise bruising and swelling. Results typically last about 6 months with a temporary filler, as its gradually absorbed into the body. Repeat the treatment as often as necessary to maintain youthful skin.

Gel Fillers

Gel hydrates skin by attracting and retaining water, and combines with Collagen and Elastin to provide skin structure and elasticity.

These products add volume to the skin by replacing lost natural acids, to smooth out lines and deep folds. They are ideal for adding volume to the cheeks and rejuvenating skin in the neck, colletage and backs of hands. Injecting the lips improves border definition in the upper lip, creating a stronger Cupid's Bow. The smooth gels are injected via very fine needles. As they are non-animal sourced, there is no need for any pre-testing for allergies. A stabilising process also allows the beneficial effects of the gel to last longer.

Top ups may be needed every 6 months.

Are there any side effects with fillers?

Mild reactions, such as minor swelling, bruising or itchiness around the injection site may occur. Some swelling may be caused by handling and manipulation of the lips during the procedure. This is temporary and may last for a few hours or a few days following the lip injections.

Fat grafting

One of the best fillers for the face and body is your own fat. This can be removed by gentle suction using a fine-bore cannula under local anaesthetic, either by itself or during another procedure. The fat is re-injected to fill lips, cheeks, brows, hands or wherever there is a reduction in plumpness. About 50-60% of the fat cells will survive to permanently enhance volume, as well as offering the benefits of transplanting of stem cells along with the fat cells. And best of all, its your own fat, so it cant cause an adverse reaction. Fat grafting may need a top up after 6 months for a long lasting improvement.
